“Such a beautiful, well equipped and spacious caravan in a wonderful location right next to Croyde beach - some might argue the best beach in England with soft sand, sand dunes, rock pools, crashing waves, surrounded by lush green hills. The caravan has a great veranda to soak up the sunshine if you don’t want to walk 4 minutes to the beach. The caravan site has a surf shop, grocery store, fish and chip shop, amusement arcade, restaurant, entertainment, playground and swimming pool and is located a short walk from Croyde village itself.

“Croyde is one of my favourite places and I couldn’t recommend this caravan enough. We have rented if now for a week for the past 4 years and have booked again for this summer.

The caravan is located in a quite part of the park and has always been spotless, very well equipped and exceptionally well maintained. Any minor issues we’ve encountered which have never been more than a change of light bulb etc have always been rectified by the owner in a swift manner.

Ruda is a fantastic caravan park which is close to the amazing beach and the lovely chilled out Croyde village. The entertainment on site caters for all ages without having too many flashing lights !! Last year we spent a couple of evenings watching open air movies in our deck chairs with a cool box full of beer, wine and pop ... perfect!

“What a great week at Ruda ! The caravan was surprisingly roomy and very well equipped. Ruda itself was such an ideal centre with the swimming pool and other on site facilities easily accessible. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we made the most of the surfing conditions. There were plenty of options for eating out including the Thatch in Croyde, BBQ’s and long walks. I would thoroughly recommend this place as a memorable staycation destination. ”

“We had a great time, the caravan was fantastic there were 7 of us and having the extra pull out bed really worked. It was the first time that I had been to Croyde and I will definitely come again. Although the sea was too rough to surf there was plenty of other things to do . A really good outdoor space and so good to get away from the worries of Covid 19. I will definitely be booking again for next year.”

“This was our second visit to the caravan at Croyde and again, a great time was had by all. We found it to be very clean, warm and comfortable. Having the central heating was very convenient, making the caravan desirable all year round. The park is in a superb position for the beach and fabulous walks out to Baggy Point. Lovely to be able to sit on the decking in the sun and enjoy the view. I would recommend a stay to anyone.”

“We had a fantastic weekend here - myself and 2 friends brought our 3 children aged between 11-12 years old for a 4 day escape from the hustle and bustle of London. The caravan was spacious and very clean with all amenities one needs for a comfortable stay. The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the surrounding grounds- this included taking themselves off to the indoor swimming pool and adventure playground- not at one point was there a need to worry about their safety.

Croyde is a magical location with a superb beach, which was extremely close (walking distance) to the campsite. There were several pubs nearby to the campsite, offering a variety of cuisines. Cliff-walking with a cream tea is a must- the views are breath taking! Or if you’re feeling adventurous, try a BBQ on the beach and watch the sunset- there are lots of local grocery stores nearby selling fresh, organic produce.

I’ve been to many caravan sites around the U.K and would recommend coming here.

“Had a really relaxing time here - lovely Croyde pubs and places for cream teas, caravan was spacious (two toilets which is helpful) and clean, and in a good location for coastal walks and to access the sandy beach. There’s a play area and swimming facilities for the kids, with grocery store/arcade on site. Hiring a wetsuit and surf board on site and then walking 2 mins to the beach is the most convenient arrangement ever- no hurdles to getting out to the sea at a moment’s notice if the waves are right. Woollacombe Beach is another gorgeous sandy beach that is not far from Croyde. Enjoyed our holiday here and would definitely return again to explore further.”

“What a great place for sand, sea and surf. Really enjoyed my first experience of riding the waves. Croyde has everything from surfboards to ice creams, plenty of things to do. We went on some great walks, fantastic views from Baggy Point, friendly locals and a great pub. The Thatch has a superb range of dishes that cater for everyone. Just what’s needed after living the outdoor life. ”

“The caravan is in a nice quiet location on the holiday park, but still not too far away from all the amenities, such as the Club House, Swimming Pool and Shops etc. The caravan is in good condition, and well looked after. The caravan layout was good, with plenty of space. When we went recently, we had four adults, one child and one baby, and as the caravan was a 3 Berth Caravan, it was big enough for us, and well laid out.
Television and Wi-Fi was also very good. I certainly would recommend this caravan for hire, with the bonus, it is probably on the best Holiday Park in the area.”

“Had an amazing time away with my family, it was so relaxing. We surfed every day and went for walks in the beautiful surrounding countryside. There is just so much to do here it is wonderful. When it rained the resort had enough for all the family to be doing including swimming in the indoor pool. Eating out again was a great experience with the Thatch being number one on our list of favourite places to eat. Will definitely book again for next year.”

“This caravan is perfect! It contained everything you could possibly need for a week/long weekend away. The caravan site is very well kept and peaceful, with it being just a short 3-4 minute walk to the beach. Communication with management was great and they answered any questions we had prior to our visit. I would highly recommend this caravan to anyone that wants a break away to the North Devon Coast. “This is a fabulous caravan on a great site, close enough to the beach to hear the waves. We only stayed for two nights but it is perfect for a week’s stay. Very clean, fresh and comfortable and well equipped. I would definitely rent this caravan again in the future.”

“A fabulous location -walking distance to Croyde beach the top surfing beach in the UK with rock pools for the children to explore and amazing coastline walks to baggy point. The caravan is spacious -sleeping 6 with an additional 2 in the lounge on a pull out bed. Kitchen is a good size with all the main utensils provided. Useful to bring a radio and lots of towels as these aren’t provided. The decking captures the sun from the morning to the evening and is a lovely place to relax. On site is also all you need to not get in the car-supermarket-costa-bar -fish &chip shop and surf shop to hire equipment. With a short walk to Croyde village that has local pubs & a market it is the perfect holiday to experience Devon life. We will definitely be coming back again and again!”

“Croyde was a wonderful place to take my son and his friends for their first surfing adventure. We had a great time- great instruction in a fantastic location. My son and his friend, aged 11 and 12, really enjoyed the experience and by the end of the lesson, were far more skilled. Never having surfed before, it was an exhilarating experience. All equipment and boards was hired so there really is no excuse not to give it a try. ”

The holiday park is well managed with all the necessities on site including a shop, daytime and evening entertainment and not to mention the tropical adventure waterpark. It is well located, an easy walk into Croyde village which has a number of great pubs to eat in, as well as local shops and a supermarket.The holiday home itself is spacious with all the basic mod cons needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Croyde has something for everyone, wonderful sandy beaches, great surfing bays and some scenic coastal walks as well as being a perfect base to explore other towns along North Devon.
